"Where you are" or "where you want to go"?

We tend to strategise about our goals from the place where we are currently.

We look at the current circumstances and see what's possible and what's not.

But a different lens, a different framework may be useful while setting our goals and that is to figure out where we want to be irrespective of where we are.

When you focus on where you want to be, you let go of the attachment to your current situation and give your attention to the situation you want to be in.

If you want to be in Paris, it doesn't much matter if you are starting from New York, London or Bangalore. The goal is to figure out how to get to Paris.
