When the voice is heavy.
When resistance is heavy, it becomes difficult to move forward on any task, even those that we would have otherwise done easily.
The voice creates doubts and asks questions. "Is this something you should be doing right now?" "Isn’t there a better way to do this?" "Maybe it will be better if you do this later."
Resistance doesn’t like shipping. It doesn’t like when things get done. It likes keeping everything pending and adding on to the heaviness.
When the voice is heavy, the key is to stay with one task and keep ploughing even though it may seem that it’s all in waste.
It’s about putting words on paper. It’s about moving forward. One thing at a time.
It may seem like we are driving with the hand brake up, but if we need to get out of here, that’s what we need to do.
There might be better ways of doing this but, for now, this is the best way that we can do it now, given where we are right now.
What we need to do is to stay with the action and away from the thoughts. The more we can act and the less we give into the thinking, the faster we will be able to get out of the slump that resistance creates.
