What do you think?
What do you think? Is this idea good? Should I pursue it?
That’s a lazy question. That’s a search for an excuse for not taking action. That’s seeking validation or reassurance.
As Seth Godin says, Reassurance is futile. You can never get enough of it.
A better question would be: I made this. It costs this much. Do you want to buy?
It tells use whether what we made is for the person who we are selling it to.
Now, do we want to sell it to this person only? And do we want to make this thing only?
If the person is not willing to buy, the answer to both the questions cannot be yes. Either you change the person or you change the thing or maybe you change both.
A series of these questions would help you reach your answer with much more clarity than ‘What do you think?’
