Uphills and downhills.
There are two kinds of activities that we can encounter every day: ones that pick up momentum on their own and the others which need conscious efforts to gain any momentum.
The ones that need momentum, like writing a book, or building a business, or working on a project, need us to consciously set aside time for them. The moment we switch to a downhill task, it's extremely difficult to come back to these tasks.
The saving grace here is that once we commit and once we repeat these tasks a number of times, they gain a momentum of their own. The challenge is to overcome the initial threshold energy needed to start taking action.
