Slow change.
Just like a child feels afraid on his first day of school, we don't want to leave the predictable certainty of the status quo. It's just that we are not given an option as a child.
One thing we can do to help is to make the change not so abrupt. We can gradually grow into the change.
Just like kids learn how to walk. No one forces them to walk. The desire for growth makes them keep trying until they succeed.
The big launch, the big change is scary. But if we break it down into smaller changes, we would be able to gradually change our identity and move forward.
