Too big a leap.

A leap takes courage and it changes the way things are. It's different from a step or even a jump. It creates leverage and can potentially shift us to a different trajectory.

But, there is also the possibility that it might not work, that we might fall, and that we might regret taking the leap in the first place. The fear of this regret stops us from doing the emotionally hard work of trusting ourselves and going for the leap.

Too big a leap may accentuate this fear and keep us limited to the way things are. But what about the short leaps? The ones where we can trust ourselves, the ones where we can practice leaping until we can leap farther and farther.
