Time is finite.
If we spend 3 hours extra awake in the night, it gets deducted from our day the next day, or worse, from our sleep.
The natural cycle of day and night is an ally and not an enemy. It is something to be embraced.
Sunset and sunrise are very strong indicators of shutting down for the day and starting a new one respectively.
The habit of drinking caffeine, the in-house lighting and the addiction to our screens break this cycle. It creates sleep deficit and we are always trying to play catch-up.
When we set a specific time to shut down the office, we get more done and have enough time to spend with our loved ones and also get a good night’s sleep.
Consistency matters much more in the long run than a burn-out lifestyle.
