For most of our life, we have been trained to follow other people’s deadlines. You have a test on Friday, so you sit down and study on Thursday night. But what happens when there is no test on Friday?

As a creative, a lot of times we work solo on projects where there is no external deadline. So, not only do we need to meet a deadline, we need to learn how to set them first.

Steven Pressfield talks about the importance of order in our workplace when we turn pro. This order is also important in allocating our time to different projects and ship them when they are due.
