The other side.

As creatives and independent professionals, we learn again and again about trusting the process and not worrying about the outcome.

Still, the voice of fear keeps us fixated on the outcome. It demands certainty, the certainty that any effort we put will not go waste, the certainty that we are on the optimum path, the certainty that doesn’t require any tradeoffs.

Of course, no such certainty exists. And so, we get stuck with inaction while searching for the perfect action.

The key here is that when we trust the process, when we take action, when we put ourselves on the hook, the other side shows up without a doubt. It may not show up the way we think it would, but it always shows up.
