Whether it's tuning your acoustic guitar, fixing the focus on your camera, examining a cell through the microscope, or tuning into your favourite channel on the analogue radio, we must follow this process of tweaking and adjusting to find the nuanced middle, the sweet spot, the narrow space where it just works.

The same is true for our creative work.

We go a bit far on that side, pull back, then go a bit far on this side and we keep experimenting until we start hearing the music.

Creativity is a bit analogue in this respect.
