The hunt.
Every hunt takes the hunter to the next level.
Hunting is an integral part of nature. A plant hunts the soil. A cow hunts the plant. A lion hunts the cow. Birds hunt the worms. Bigger birds hunt the smaller ones. Survival of every living being seems to be based on the hunt.
But what about humans? What is our hunt? Are we a cow or a deer hunting plants for food? Are we a carnivorous animal seeking to hunt another animal? I don’t think so. I think, these kind of hunts take us down to the level of animals, the level of survival. We have crossed that level way back. We are at a different, more subtle level now.
We hunt abstract now. We have to. We hunt writing our next book, creating our next painting, starting our next venture. All of us have our unique hunt. We know it without a doubt.
And even though our hunts are more psychological than physical, they feel eerily physical. The fear of getting killed while going for the hunt feels real. And that is what stops us from going for the hunt. We start resisting the hunt. A lot of frustration in life comes from there.
But you were made to hunt. There is no survival, no life without the hunt. You can’t stay in the cave for long. You will starve to death. No one is bringing the hunt for you.
You know your hunt. You need that hunt. The hunt seeks you.
Don’t stop hunting.
