The Gift.

I have started listening to the wonderful book by Lewis Hyde called ‘The Gift’.

We receive so many gifts from so many sources. The knowledge we get from authors who invest tremendously in writing their books. The connection to the art we witness in a movie is a gift too. So is the casual conversation we have with the person sitting next to us in a flight.

When we are generous in passing the gift forward by connecting people, by teaching and leading, by creating art and nudging others to do so, we make the world a better place.

If we start looking at the opportunity to make a difference as a gift, we would be more inclined to take action.
