The antidote to perfectionism.
Perfectionism is laziness, the laziness coming from our desire to create only one draft, the perfect one.
And this desire comes from the fact that as consumers we only see the final iteration. We see the movie only after it's released in the theatre, we buy the phone only after it's launched, and we get to read the book only after it is published.
But all creators know that there were multiple working drafts that were rejected or improved upon over months and years to reach the version that was finally released to the public.
As creators and entrepreneurs, we can overcome perfectionism by not seeking to make the version 1 perfect but instead iterating it enough times that we reach version 91 or version 731 which might be good enough to ship.
There is no such thing as writing. It's only re-writing.
