McDonalds is fast, inexpensive and is based on local franchise. Everything McDonalds done is in line with the strategy. Opening a fine dining restaurant won’t work for McDonalds.
When we don’t have a strategy, we are all over the place. We don’t have a basis to take decisions. We randomly shift from one direction to another.
Having a strategy means that we have a compass, a direction. We have the wind behind us. We can decide what to hold on to and what to leave
The tactics will keep coming and going but the strategy will remain.
