Stop seeking permission

All our lives, we have been trained to seek permission at every step. From going to the washroom during the class, to writing poetry, to speaking up, we have been trained to ask the ‘authority’. The so-called ‘authority’ has been misusing this power for decades now. The Universities are charging a fortune to give us a piece of paper which we can then submit to another organisation to get the right to work.

Whether we realise it or not, this is now a thing of the past. Not in the sense that people don’t do it anymore. But in the sense that it doesn’t serve any purpose anymore.

The internet and recently Zoom has changed the dynamics of how we create and share value. It has taken the power away from the middle men and allowed a direct connection between the creator and the audience.
