Shaping up a project.

One of the best tools I have used for shipping projects is Basecamp.
I want to mention two tools (or processes) they have taught me that I find extremely useful: The Hill Charts and the Fat-marker sketch.
Let’s start with the Hill Charts first.
There are two phases of a project, one where we are trying to figure things out, and the second where we are making it happen.
It helps to be clear where we are in a project and work accordingly.
When we are figuring things out, the Fat-marker sketch can be an extremely useful tool. It keeps us focussed on what’s important and removes all frills that might distract us.
Once we have the fat marker sketch, it becomes much easier to convert it into a refined version.
Do check out @basecamp. They have a free personal version where you get access to 3 projects.
They are not paying me anything for this, I am sharing because it has made my work significantly more effective.
