Saying no to say yes.
We are trained to not say no.
We are told we can't say no to the test in the school, or to the subject we don't like or to the company we don't want to work at.
And now, as solopreneurs, we aren't able to say no to clients who are no longer serving us, to collaborators who are no longer adding value, to projects we are no longer excited about.
Saying yes when we want to say no helps us avoid the short term pain we'd feel and replaces it with the long term pain of investing time, energy and money in something that no longer resonates with us.
We can learn to say no generously, kindly and empathetically and when we do that, we make space to say yes to something or someone that truly matters.
