Reacting to stimuli.
Every morning, we receive the gift of ‘the day’. We are given the opportunity to work and move towards our goals and dreams.
But most of the time, for most of us, that gift is squandered away in reacting to stimuli. WhatsApp, Email, Phone calls, Instagram and whatnot.
Our brain processes stimuli as a threat. It leaves everything and jumps in to countering the threat. The fight or flight mode gets activated.
If we are to make progress, as an individual or an organisation, it may make sense to start devoting some stimuli-free time to do the work that matters.
