Putting on a show.

It's safe to be behind the scenes and keep working hard trying to make our work/project better. But, if we are unwilling to put on a show, we do not have a right to complain that the audience didn't show up.

This is another leap to make on our way to do generous work.

Until the work reaches those who need or want it, it's not generous.

Not "putting on a show" is selfish in that we choose to hide instead of helping people sign up for our work.

If we didn't need salespeople to put on a show, we would just put out a memo.
