Overcoming overwhelm.
When we connect deeply with things that we engage with, we need to be careful about what we allow our attention to go towards. If we don't filter the content that gets access to our nervous system, it can create havoc inside our brains.
A starting point towards getting back to our core, our senses, is to disengage. To create boundaries that protect us from the anxiety that these stimuli create.
The nervous system is a brilliant system, but like all systems, it depends highly on the quality of the inputs that it receives.
