Opt-in or opt-out?

The hard work is making the system of things you want to do an "opt-out" system. Once it's an opt-out system, it will work.

For instance, if you go to the gym daily, you have to choose to opt out from going today, rather than opting in to go. If you write a daily blog, you have to choose to opt out from writing today, rather than opting in to write.

On the other hand, how can you make the things you want to avoid an "opt-in" system?

If you don't drink or smoke, you have to opt in whether you want to make an exception today. Similarly, if you don't have a Netflix subscription, you have to opt in whether you want to buy and watch a movie.

Choosing where you want an opt-in system and where you want an opt-out system is a place to start.

Then is the hard work of ensuring that the system works.
