Out of the boat.
"Out of the boat" signifies more than being off track - it means you don't know where the track is anymore. When you are out of the boat, you cannot think your way back in; you have no point of reference.

How do we get back when we get out of the boat, when we are not even aware of where the boat is anymore?
The immediate reaction that makes getting back even more difficult is to panic and try to remedy everything immediately. The other symptom could be focusing on building the perfect system without making progress towards anything.
One way to get back on track is to bring down your focus to "what's next?", the one thing that you need to do next, and then to do only do that. No planning, no perfectionism, no list. Just one thing. And once you get that done, figure out again "what's next?" Do it enough times and you will start getting back on the boat pretty soon.
What is it that you do to get back on the boat? What has worked and what hasn't in your experience? [Comment below or reply]
