Move the pin.
James Clear talks about the paperclip strategy in his book Atomic Habits.
It's simple. You keep one box full of paper clips and another one empty at the beginning of the day. As you take any action that moves things forward, you move one pin from the first box to the other one.
We don't count how big or small the action is, as long as its something that moves things forward. This could include but not limited to brushing your teeth or putting out the laundry and can go on to sending that difficult email that you have been keeping pending for weeks.
This strategy allows us to be a contribution, to shift to action rather than contemplation and most of all, to make it all a game.
The more pins you move, the more you want to move them. Try it out.
