Mental labour.
The one that we do in the mind. When we think about a task, or a decision or anything for that matter. This includes discussions and deliberations.
That mental labour is useless. Nothing comes out of it.
Instead, it’s the fingers (that type or paint) or the vocal chords or the feet (that run) that make something.
When we commit to any task or decision, when it is imminent, we are much more likely to resolve any ambiguity it presents.
Shifting our intention from thinking about something to doing something about it can make all the difference.
