Managing the weekend.
The common notion is: We can really let loose once the office is shut. We can binge any series, order any food, do anything.
The reality is that when we can do anything, we end up doing nothing. Nothing of significance, at least.
Our last-minute mind redirects us to the lower-most tasks, tasks that drain all our energy and end up making us feel miserable.
Instead, the time outside of our offices needs to be planned and designed with even more diligence as we do not have a boss looking over our heads.
It does makes sense to work Mon-Fri 9-5 and get the work done. But it makes more sense to proactively identify our non-work priorities and get them done outside the 9-5.
