Finding your voice again.

It is difficult to find our voice when we are at the receiving end of stimuli. It could be conversations with friends or instant messages or videos on streaming services or social media.

When our brain is handling stimuli, its focus goes mainly to responding to those stimuli. And then sooner or later, that’s all we end up doing.

In order to find our voice again, in order to initiate stuff rather than simply respond, we need to create a stimuli-free environment.

We can do that by going offline for an hour or by turning off our phone or by completely going non-digital for a while.

No matter what your mind says, spending hours on email, LinkedIn and social media may feel like work, but it seldom is.
