Fear driven decision making.
‘If we stay here, we’ll be safe.’
Will we? For how long?
A conversation we need to have.
The constant tussle between fear and courage has kept our ancestors alive enough for us to interact through this blog.
The physical fear of falling off a cliff kept us and them from going too close to the edge. The fear of being eaten by a grizzly bear made them alert when they were out hunting for food.
Today, the physical fears are more or less non-existent. We do not need to go in the forest to collect plants or hunt animals to get our food.
But as the physical fears have gone down, so has the courage. We no longer feel the need to be more courageous.
The status quo has become too comfortable for survival. We keep procrastinating the acts of being courageous unless it is too late.
The despair of today’s time is quite related to the lack of courageous actions in our life.
