Emotional heavy lifting.

You can't lift 40 kgs if you have the strength to lift only 30.

What you can do is to build your strength gradually and become someone who can lift 40. Worrying about 40 and beating yourself up over it isn't going to help you get there.

Same goes with emotional labour.

What is the task/project you seek to do that you are unable to do? How much emotional lifting does it need?

How much can you lift right now? What can you do to build your strength over time?

More importantly, how can you make the task lighter? What can you remove that will make it easier for you to move forward?
