Driving with the handbrakes on.

That’s what stress feels like. It leads us to a place where we keep putting in effort without making much change happen. If that’s the case, it may make sense to figure out the root cause of the stress, especially if it’s chronic stress.

Sometimes, maybe not always, but sometimes, it can be about the story we are telling ourselves and how we are telling it.

Other times, much rarer than we think, it may tell us that drastic steps must be taken.

It is worth the effort to figure out which one it is.

And if it’s the former, it’s worth the effort to take action that can help us change the story.
