Done for the day list.

Before we set out for the day and start tackling the things on our minds, it is a good practice to create a "Done for the day list".

How is a "Done for the day list" different from the normal to-do lists that we make? Because it is fixed. Once we are done with the things on that list, we are done with our day. There's nothing more or nothing less to do.

One thing that helps is to take a screenshot of the list in the morning and sending it to a friend. In that case, even if we keep updating the list during the day as new things come up, we will still have our original list to refer at the end of the day.

Doing this one thing alone can help reduce the daily anxiety and feeling of incompleteness at the end of the day.

HT to Greg McKeown's book Effortless. Highly recommended read.
