Dancing with fear
Fear makes us behave in ways that don’t make sense.
It takes the form of perfectionism, procrastination, distraction and whatnot.
It makes us feel that we are not ready.
It wants us to leave our work and do something else, anything else.
If we wait for the fear to go away before we start to work, we might never get to do the work.
Instead, we can acknowledge our fear, calling a spade a spade, and get back to work.
Seth Godin talks about dancing with fear and it’s a dance we can learn like a skill.
