Getting out of a slump.

First of all, wear your best clothes, even if you are not going to meet anyone today.

Spend time in the morning sunlight, or even afternoon one, for at least 20 minutes (with a timer). Remove your blue-cut glasses if you are wearing any. Listen to Audible (War of Art is a brilliant pick) or a podcast or some music that makes you feel good.

Before you sit down to work, turn off your phone and keep it in the other room.

Use brain.fm or Spotify Lofi playlist to play positive, energetic music.

Use Sunsama or a simple timer for 90 minutes.

Write your bad writing.

Keep writing.

When the brain says, it isn't good enough, keep writing.

You don't need to ship your writing, you just need to keep writing.

Do this for 90 minutes.

You are not allowed to work longer than that. And you are not allowed to leave your seat before that.

Once done, take a break for 30 minutes where you don't look at a screen.

Go to the sea or the roof or wherever you can have a wide view.

Repeat this if you need to.

If you think you are ready to ship, then get into the editor mode.

Be ruthless with your writing and keep only what's absolutely necessary.

Remove everything else.

Press Send.

You would no longer be in a slump.
