Coming back to true north.

Distractions, urgencies and emergencies take our attention away, they make us busy. They create a mind space where we can't think clearly, where we are preoccupied.

We feel that once we handle the distraction, once we take care of the urgency, we would be able to sit down and do the work.

But that hardly happens. One distraction is replaced by another and very soon we find ourselves tired, fatigued and nowhere close to working on the things that matter, the goals that matter.

Going back to the true north, to the priority goal, to the work that matters to you is an uphill climb and waiting for the distractions & urgencies to end is nothing but another distraction.
