Many times we feel that the need to generate cash-flow is a burden; that it is something that makes our work unnecessarily more difficult. We wish to be in a position where we could do our work for free without needing to worry about the money.
But money makes our work better. The hard work to convince someone to purchase your work creates value for the customer. It creates tension and trust. When someone pays for what we do for them, they appreciate it more.
When we embrace money as a gift from our customers in return for offering them something valuable, we let go of the notion of money being a burden and develop a professional mindset about generating a healthy cash-flow.
