A thousand blogs!

This is my blog #1000.

Maybe, today's a good day to reflect back and also to see what's ahead.

  1. I'd start by nudging you to start writing a blog daily. It doesn't cost anything and it hardly takes 15-30 minutes a day.
A thousand days from now, you'd be very happy that you started today.

2. Writing daily is easier than writing weekly which is easier than writing monthly which is definitely easier than writing when you feel like it.

If I write a bad blog today, I can write a better one tomorrow.

3. Don't listen to that voice which tells you that you are not ready today.

If you don't publish today, it's going to be harder tomorrow.

4. Don't think about what you will get out of this, at least not for the first 100 days. No thoughts of monetisation, audience building, etc. for the first 100 days.

Just type and publish.

5. Adding to #4, don't share your blog for the first 100 days with people who love playing the "devil's advocate". Anyone who is creative doesn't play the devil's advocate.

The devil doesn't need an advocate. - Seth Godin

6. Continuing with #4, and #5, ignore Linkedin, Instagram, etc.

Write your blog for yourself for the first 100 days. Everything else is a distraction.

7. The biggest advantage of writing a daily blog is that you become comfortable with pressing Publish. This helps everywhere.

You learn to type what's on your mind and press Send. I can't emphasise how important this skill/habit is.

8. Subscribers and readers will come and go.

If you keep showing up with intent, you would build your 1000 true fans even though you might not even see them.

9. Writing a blog is a privilege and not an obligation.

You get to write a blog. You don't have to.

10. There are people in this world whose day would get better because they read your blog.

And on some days, that person would be you.

PS. Thank you for being a reader of the blog.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to share the blog daily with you.

I'd love to know your thoughts/feedback/suggestions.

If you'd like, I'd also love to know more about what you are working on and how I may help you.

You can email 📨 me here and book a short coffee chat ☕️ here.

Here's to the next 1000 blogs! Onward & Forward.
